Jericho Rosales had been invited to grace the film festival in California, USA where his film “Subject: I Love You” is a part of.
Director Francis Dela Torre relayed the invitation to Jericho as guest and participant in the Newport Beach International Film Festival on April 30 to be held at the Regency Lido Theater in Newport Beach, California.
The occasion will be the first international premiere screening of “Subject: I Love You,” where Jericho plays the lead.
Other big names to grace the event are Dean Cain of “Superman” fame, Kristin Bauer of “True Blood” HBO and Dante Basco of “Hook,” and “Step Up.”
Our very own Gary Valenciano has a cameo in the film, like international singing sensation Apl.de.Ap of Black Eyed Peas. Gary is also are expected to attend the event.
And speaking of Jericho, his music career is on the upswing. His composition “Bumuhos Man ang Ulan,” used as a theme song of his current soap opera on ABS-CBN “Green Rose,” ranks No. 2 on 101.9’s Tambayan. It’s a good feat considering his other composition, “Pusong Ligaw,” was adjudged Song of the Year in last year’s PMPC Awards. The song “Naalala Ka” from Jericho’s “Change” album also hit the No. 2 position in Myx’s countdown.
