Solenn Heussaff bags second movie role with ‘Temptation Island’

Sultry VJ-actress Solenn continues to take showbiz by storm by landing one of the lead roles in the upcoming remake of the 1980 film, “Temptation Island.”

According to a report aired in “24 Oras” in April 8, Solenn and her fellow cast members Marian Rivera, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista and Ruffa Mae Quinto got together for the first time last Thursday to do the pictorial for the movie.

“Sobrang excited ako kasi [ma]galing sila umarte. So I will learn a lot from them. I’m just very excited. I think the people they chose for this movie [are] really good and we’re gonna have a lot of fun,” Solenn said.

The Filipino-French Kapuso currently stars in “Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik” as reporter Janna Rahmani, one of Captain Barbell’s (Richard Gutierrez) love interests. Solenn said that her role is challenging mainly because she still finds speaking in Tagalog difficult.

“I’m learning more and more Tagalog everyday so… Everytime I’m in front of the camera, medyo stressed out ako kasi I’m scared to mess out on my lines tapos hindi [ko kaya na] mag-improvise ng Tagalog yet,” said she.

Jericho Rosales had been invited to grace the film festival in California, USA where his film “Subject: I Love You” is a part of.

Director Francis Dela Torre relayed the invitation to Jericho as guest and participant in the Newport Beach International Film Festival on April 30 to be held at the Regency Lido Theater in Newport Beach, California.

The occasion will be the first international premiere screening of “Subject: I Love You,” where Jericho plays the lead.

Other big names to grace the event are Dean Cain of “Superman” fame, Kristin Bauer of “True Blood” HBO and Dante Basco of “Hook,” and “Step Up.”

Our very own Gary Valenciano has a cameo in the film, like international singing sensation Apl.de.Ap of Black Eyed Peas. Gary is also are expected to attend the event.

And speaking of Jericho, his music career is on the upswing. His composition “Bumuhos Man ang Ulan,” used as a theme song of his current soap opera on ABS-CBN “Green Rose,” ranks No. 2 on 101.9’s Tambayan. It’s a good feat considering his other composition, “Pusong Ligaw,” was adjudged Song of the Year in last year’s PMPC Awards. The song “Naalala Ka” from Jericho’s “Change” album also hit the No. 2 position in Myx’s countdown.

The Echo will be directed by Yam Laranas the same director who did Sigaw.
