Move over Susan Boyle, Korea’s got talent. His name is Sung-bong Choi. Orphaned at 3 and ran away from the orphanage at 5 to escape the beating, he lived on the streets for ten years. That did not destroy the talent within him. In fact, it could have inspired him to sing even more beautifully. He is now 22 and ready to face the world.
Selling gum and energy drinks may soon give way to sensational singing as he started by getting three yes votes in his Korea’s Got Talent audition.
Nella Fantasia (In My Fantasy)
English translation
In my imagination I see a fair world,
Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
In my imagination I see a bright world,
Even the night is less dark there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly.
In my imagination there exists a warm wind,
That breathes on the cities, like a friend.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
Nella Fantasia is an Italian song from Sarah Brightman’s album Eden (1998). It was based on the theme “Gabriel’s Oboe” composed by Ennio Morricone for the film The Mission (1986).
